Notably, the Chinese launch event is going to be an online-only broadcast, perhaps because of the epidemic caused by the Coronavirus. However, it will be followed by a global launch event of Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro at the Mobile World Congress 2020 in Barcelona on February 23.
Features and Specs expected in Mi10 –
Xiaomi has begun to post teasers for the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro hinting specifications like 5G, Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS 3.0 storage ahead of launch. Moreover, users can also expect Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro smartphones to feature the latest Snapdragon 865 SoC processor. The company officials had already announced that the Mi 10 will be one of the first smartphones to feature Snapdragon 865 SoC at the Qualcomm Snapdragon Tech Summit in December 2019. Moreover, the company has also released a picture of Mi 10 smartphones clearly hinting at a quad-camera setup besides an elegant design in three colour variants. Xiaomi has already highlighted that the two smartphones will sport a 108-megapixel camera. Furthermore, the base Mi 10 model is speculated to include 20-megapixel, 12-megapixel, and 5-megapixel sensors in its rear camera setup while Mi 10 Pro is likely to feature 48-megapixel, 12-megapixel and 8-megapixel rear cameras. However, the two of them are rumoured to have similar 6.5-inch 90Hz screens. But, charging speeds are expected to be another difference between the two. Xiaomi Mi 10 is rumoured to offer 40W fast charging while Mi 10 Pro is likely to offer 66W fast charging. This is by far all that we know about the upcoming flagship smartphone from Xiaomi. However, with all the contradictions among existing rumours, one can never be completely sure until the official launch. So, we are eagerly waiting for February 13 to see what’s exactly in store for us.
