What exactly is a frame in a Facebook profile picture?
The frame feature of Facebook allows you to do add something extra to your profile pictures. There are many frames that you can add simply to jazz your picture up. On the other hand, some frames can be added when you want to show your solidarity to a special cause or an event. Many people add a frame of Tricolour to their profile picture to show respect for our country. While you are changing or uploading a new picture, Facebook automatically suggests the recent frames which have been added to their list. You can also choose from various flags of different countries. There are a lot of fun and perky frames also to choose from.
How to remove a frame from a Facebook profile picture?
As far as the Facebook features are concerned, once you set the frame it cannot be removed. However, if you still want to remove the frame, here is how you can do it:-
Go to the Facebook app on your phone or go to the browser and log into the Facebook website.Then go to your profile and click on your profile picture. Once you click on your profile picture, you will see a list of options. Click on the ‘Select profile picture’ option. You will be taken to a page where you will be presented with two options. Either you can click a new profile picture or select a profile picture from your phone gallery. Choose your picture and click on save. This time the picture will be saved without a frame.
Since you cannot directly remove the frame, there is another option that you can choose. You can go back to your previous profile picture. You can follow these steps to change back to your previous profile picture:-
Open your Facebook profile page.Click on your profile page. Click on the option of ‘Select Profile Picture’. You will see an option of ‘Switch to the previous picture now’.Click on this option and that’s it! Your picture is changed to the one you last uploaded.
Even though there isn’t a direct option to remove the frame from your Facebook profile picture, you can remove the frame in other ways. Frames can be a great addition to your profile pictures. But in case you don’t want them there are other options available as well.
